Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger (2026)

Prior to Oasis reuniting, I don’t recall ever hearing about them. I knew Wonderwall as a meme song that guys who bring guitars to places love to play, but I couldn’t have told you who it was by. As their reunion tour picked up last year, I heard about them more. I remember running into a massive line in Soho for their merch pop-up. A few months ago I finally started listening to them. I listened to them a fair amount for a few weeks, but they haven’t become core in my rotation. I still like their music, so when I saw their documentary was being released in IMAX, I figured I’d go check it out.

This review is very easy. If you want to hear Oasis for a few hours, you’ll have a good time. If you’re interested in learning more about them from this “documentary,” don’t bother. This movie reminded me of Michael (2026). It’s a collection of popular songs with the faintest amount of filler between them to call it a movie; the difference being that Michael used actors and this one used real clips. Personally, since I’m not the biggest Oasis fan, I would have enjoyed it a lot more if it had leaned more towards a documentary. I knew Oasis had broken up, but that was it. This movie didn’t give me any more information. It would have been cool if they went a little bit into why they broke up, what they were up to during their hiatus, and why they decided to come back. That being said, I still thought it was a fun watch, and I enjoyed getting to see some of Liam and Noel’s personality.
